Yeah, Fareena, but the Christian Crusaders of the USA and Britain are more than making up for the Moslem's wimpy score of dead by slaughtering Moslems by the tens of thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan. The latest word is that an epidemic of birth defects are crippling the newborns of Falujah, where the Americans bombed the city with radioactive munitions. Except for the Christians, we were all pretty disgusted when the Taleban blew up the giant Buddha statues at Bamyam. But then the US troops let a mob loot the Iraqi National Museum of its priceless treasures, and now US tanks, bulldozers, and cluster bombs are crushing what's left of Iraq's antiquities and culture into dust. So that means that the 'good guys' are winning, right?

In India, women and children are under attack by muslim criminals who commit all sorts of savage atrocities.  In Godhra town, around 60 women and children were burnt alive. No one has taken any action.

For reasons beyond India, islamic riotsbreak out and ordinary citizens suffer savage serial mass murders. Examples,  murderous riots for Saddam's hanging, Rev Falwell's remarks, Danish cartoons, Bush visit, reclamation of Holy Site where one unused building Babri stood that took 1788 lives by official estimate,...etc etc.

ravi, in your blog you have Caliph Uthman destroying the Great Library of Alexandria in 645, followed by Ptolemy III, Julius Ceasar, Emperor Aurelian, and Archbishop Theophilus. I agree with you that Caliph Uthman was a backward thinker, but surely he did not possess a time machine!
Also, let's hope that the Hindu extremists don't actually start reading the Vedas, Puranas, and Epics, because if they do, they'll discover that the Hindu scriptures are full of contradictory statements, and the extremists may just decide to burn them all to get rid of the ideas that they disagree with!    -- GF
Ptolemy III ... I think I might have taken that course in college.
